Prosciutto & Mozzarella
For centuries, Italians have known that prosciutto and mozzarella make the perfect snack. Now, we’ve made it easier than ever to enjoy this classic combination on the go! Each pack includes seven pre-wrapped paninos that are perfect for lunchboxes, appetizer trays, or anytime snacking.
Prosciutto Panino Panzerotti
Course: Main Course
1 lb pizza dough
1/2 cup pizza or pasta sauce
3/4 cup sliced roasted red peppers
1 pkg (5 oz) Fiorucci Prosciutto Panino (each sliced into 4 pieces)
1/2 cup torn fresh basil
1 egg, lightly beaten
Divide dough into quarters. On lightly floured surface, roll out each quarter into 8-inch round. Spread each with 2 tbsp of the sauce, leaving small border all around; divide red peppers evenly over sauce. Place 7 prosciutto panino pieces over top; sprinkle with basil. Fold in half, pulling gently to enclose filling; pinch edges closed to seal.
Place panzerotti on parchment paper–lined baking sheet; brush tops with beaten egg. Bake in 400°F oven for 18 to 20 minutes or until golden.
Tip: Use hot pepper rings for an added kick!
